About the roleAs the Area Manager at Welcome Pickups, you are at the heart of our mission to revolutionize the travel experience. In this role, you'll harness your leadership and sales prowess to steer a talented team of Market Managers and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), while also strategically growing your own portfolio of hotel partnerships. This unique position blends team leadership with direct engagement in the field, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of travel hospitality and make a significant impact in expanding our global footprint. Core Responsibilities:Leadership and Direct Sales Management:- Lead, mentor, and drive a team of Market Managers and ISRs towards achieving collective sales targets and strategic objectives. - Actively manage and expand your own portfolio of hotel partnerships, including hunting and securing new partnerships and nurturing existing ones. - Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of growth and achievement. Strategic Planning and Execution:- Collaborate with your team to develop and implement robust strategies for expanding our hotel network and enhancing Welcome's presence within the assigned area. - Work closely with senior management, marketing, and operations to ensure regional strategies are well-integrated with Welcome's overall business goals. - Lead from the front by engaging in direct sales activities, including negotiation and closing deals, to model effective sales tactics for your team. Sales Oversight and Performance Analysis:- Monitor and analyze both your own and your team's sales performance, ensuring the effective management of the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. - Review and optimize the sales pipeline, identifying opportunities for growth and providing targeted support to improve sales outcomes. - Champion sales excellence by implementing best practices, ensuring adherence to sales processes and CRM updates, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team. - Lead sales training and upskilling initiatives, equipping your team with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and stay ahead in a competitive market.
