Descripción de la ofertaEURECAT - Technology Centre of Catalonia - requires for its Sustainability Area for the WEEI (Waste Energy Environmental Impact) unit a researcher to form part of the battery line. Introduction to the job:A researcher is required for the Sustainability Area, with a degree in engineering, physics or chemistry with electrical, electronic and/or automotive knowledge, to form part of the e-Mobility & Energy Storage line (batteries). Your main tasks will be the execution of industrial projects, drafting of reports and support in the preparation of R&D&I proposals, at national and international level, in this sector. Experience and willingness to learn in characterisation and behaviour of batteries, fuel cells and other components of electric vehicles is essential, as well as knowledge in the field of electric mobility (also hydrogen vehicles) and the automotive sector. Roles and responsibilities:Preparation of new projects and servicesExecution of R&D projectsSupport to the contact with companiesPlanning, supervision, execution and evaluation of experimentsDrafting and contributing to project documentationContributing to trainings in the field of electric mobilityAbility to identify and solve technical challengesTravel and participation in international assemblies and dissemination events on an occasional basisRequisitosEducation: Degrees in Physics or Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science or Engineering (industrial, automotive, electrical, electronic). A doctorate degree in these subjects will be an asset. Experience:Essential experience or willingness to develop in:Electrochemical characterisation of lithium-ion cells and batteries. Design of experiments and acceleration (MiniTab, BrownieBee)Mathematical and statistical modelling (Python, R, MATLAB, javaScript)Data processing (Origin, Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, VBA)Data visualisation (Matplotlib, ggplot, Excel)Technical execution of R&D projects or applied to productsWriting of reports and technical reports (Word)Communication of results (presentation to partners and collaborators) (PowerPoint, OBS)Design and 2D/3D simulation (SolidWorks, Ansys, Blender)Desired expertise for the position:Fuel cells or post-Lithium batteries (H2, Na, Metal)Post-Lithium battery behaviour and ageing modelsElectrochemistry, corrosion processes, materialsProgramming environments (Anaconda)Code sharing and publishing platforms (GitHub)Knowledge of the Automotive SectorSkills:Autonomy.
