Payroll Administrator
Descripcin: Newton Subsea is an international company based in Vic (Catalonia) that is looking to hire a Payroll Administrator to join our payroll business line and form part of the payroll team. The principal tasks and function of the position are: - To monitor, control, administer and ensure the accuracy of all payroll-type contracts. - To liaise with payroll clients to confirm contract particulars before preparing and issuing contracts to all parties. - Processing of monthly time sheets and disbursement claims from_ payroll personnel. - Issuing and submitting invoices to payroll clients. - Investigating any errors and responding to employee queries, including issuing requested documentation, statements of earnings, bespoke contractual arrangements, etc. - Foreign tax reporting responsibilities are shared jointly with the Finance Director, and include: o Ensuring correct calculation and deduction of tax and NI where_ relevant and payment and reporting to tax authorities. o Liaising with other departments to provide tax advice and calculations where_ necessary. o Maintaining country-specific tax information pages on the database. o Updating and testing tax calculators on an annual basis. o Ensuring correct handling of any mandatory requirements for worker benefits such as occupational pension schemes. o Issuing annual tax certificates and overseeing the yearend tax process for all Newton contractors.
