R&D Mechanical engineer

General Information
As R&D Engineer, you will join our South Europe Technology Center, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on transformers. Specifically, you will be part of the R&D Team in Zaragoza (Spain), and you will contribute to the development of projects related to the performance of dry transformers and contribute to the successful roadmap execution.
Your responsibilities
- Plan and execute R&D projects following the internal Gate Model and are delivered on time and on budget according to priorities.
- Challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects and/or processes, transfer your knowledge and findings from lab scale to production environment
- Support product care activities while monitor the quality performance of the products of own responsibility. Drive the implementation of the resulting actions in either active products or new developments
- Provide punctual technical support to production factories

Your background
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical engineering. Higher formal educational will be meriting
- At least 2 years’ experience in product development and/or design of industrial equipment, preferably dry-type transformers
- Expertise in the mechanical and/or thermal performance of epoxy resin will be very valuable
- Initiative, creativity, “out of the box” thinking and great attention to detail
- Collaborative, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
