We offer you the unique opportunity to join our Iberian team in Madrid, covering a broad range of responsibilities including ownership of client relationships, business origination and accountability on underwriting results. Your role will also be key in supporting the market's CEO y crafting and implementing the market strategy to achieve our ambitious targets. Help us champion, develop and grow our client management and market underwriting segment! We seek individuals to help connect the dots across our client base, leading implementation of our local market approach. You will be a key contact for the client and Swiss Re, providing an overview of customer related themes for the Iberian market. This encompasses Core Reinsurance business, Innovation and Reinsurance as a capital management instrument. This will be delivered by maintaining close links with relevant Product, Transactions and Solutions colleagues to serve our clients' best. Consolidating and growing our leadership in the market by building long lasting relationships with our partners is our goal. Driving value creation and customer satisfaction in a sustainable way will be the focus of your role. Your main accountabilities: Overall responsibility for client relationship and business development: Develop and cultivate client relations across the range of management levels, incl. C-suite interaction. Follow environment developments in (re)insurance to form a thoughtful view on opportunities and threats to clients, raising trends for discussion, alongside how Swiss Re can assist Champion new Innovation themes with clients and summarize what needs are to be fulfilled, leading client initiatives that in turn implement reinsurance solutions. Be the liaison lead for introductions to client company on behalf of Swiss Re Solutions. Take forward the creation of Transaction opportunities through clients, responsible for its execution Responsibility for Underwriting: Work together with the Underwriting Hubs in driving the portfolio strategy ensuring risk appetite alignment and sustainable underwriting results. Contribute to drafting local underwriting strategy and renewal messages. Underwrite all reinsurance treaties of your clients within your assigned authority levels Enable risk analysis, structuring and resource deployment to be completed in an effective timeframe Perform analyses reflecting unbiased estimates of expected losses and associated steering values You will anticipate and analyse future industry/economic/legal trends Our team is happy to meet you if you: bring 3+ years in (re)insurance underwriting, client management or another related function have experience as a successful sales leader and will be a good negotiator, comfortable interacting effectively across all levels including C-suite. good understanding of Spanish or international non-life insurance and reinsurance markets and are ready to broaden accountability for your client interactions and inspire a cross-functional client team sound analytic skills demonstrated through an understanding of market underwriting concepts and contract wording, hence legal knowledge or interest to develop this is advantageous fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese would be a bonus! holding an university degree or equivalent is preferred and able to travel occasionally
