Senior Accountant
Description We’re hiring for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the full understanding, completeness and accuracy of reporting for the countries in scope. The Senior Accountant will have full ownership of end-to end process from a US GAAP perspective. When applicable he/she will be in charge of preparation and delivery of the Statutory Books and Direct Tax reporting of all entities under his/her responsibility in compliance with local and corporate policies. He/she will work in close collaboration with PWC and tax to this effect, but will also have a direct connect with all the Center of Excellence (CoE) teams and will act as a liaison between the CoE, Corporate Global Service Center, the Country Controller and Commercial Finance With a sound understanding of the local entities’ underlying business, he/she will support an effective control environment and have a key role in the delivery of all controllership activities relative to the legal entities under his/her responsibility. This includes Financial Accounting, Reporting and Internal Controls. Your Challenge: Full ownership of end-to-end process from a US GAAP perspective/Local GAAP if applicable. Preparation of Local GAAP Financial Statements as applicable Preparation of any reporting for Direct Tax purposes including Income Tax submission as applicable Execution and maintenance of effective Internal controls Main contact for PwC and Statutory issues Functional analysis of statements/Accounts reconciliation reviewers/follow up for improvements noted Provide accounting guidance and functional expertise to ensure quality and accuracy of all accounting and financial processes Provide accounting support and guidance to the accountants of the entities in scope with the objective of development. Main contact for engagement with Legal Entity Controllers. other CoE teams and other centers Key financial contact for the businesses. Location: Tamón, Asturias Qualifications To Grow What Matters, You Will Need University degree in Accounting/Finance Solid Accounting and financial reporting experience required: 3 to 5 years direct exposure to a European GAAP US GAAP knowledge and experience in Tax matters Previous experience in audit or working experience for the big 4 is a plus. Business proficiency in English is a must Business proficiency in French is a plus Advanced knowledge of SAP is an asset Good Excel skills required Who Are We Looking For?
