Location: Spain, BarcelonaAbout the project:This role is key in cultural change of the company. The Scrum Master is responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum and Lean-Agile practices. Scrum Masters do this by helping everyone understand Scrum and Lean-Agile theory, practices, rules, and values. The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren't. The Scrum Master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team. Responsibilities:Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customersGuiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on how to get the most out of self organizationGuiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworksGuiding and Coaching the Development team on agile software development principles, practices and executionGuiding and Coaching the Development team on software design patternsAssessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organizationRemoving impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impedimentProtecting the team from interruptions and external interferences, keeping the team focused within the context of the project vision and goalsBuilding a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solvingFacilitating the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the process being followed by the teamFacilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the workFacilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutionAssisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationSupporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlogWorking actively in the Guild of Scrum MastersRequirementsStrong experience in capital market or investment banking industry Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, KanbanAwareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc. Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the teamAt least 8 years expertise working in software development, and 2 years acting as a Scrum MasterThe experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc. )Excellent communication and mentoring skillsAlready worked in the banking industry and especially investment bankingNice to have:We are looking for people with high level of development of soft skills in terms of empathy, socialization, great speaking abilities used to facilitate big and small groups, ability to clearly communicate and encourage lateral thinkingBeing a proactive and decisive person, who is capable of working autonomously finding their own solutions.
