The JobThe People Partner Spain & Portugal provides HR delivery to all parts of WarnerMedia in the territory, including WB Ent. , HBO, Turner and corporate functions. The role is responsible for advising managers in the territory on how to appropriately manage and resolve HR issues including, but not limited to, performance management, employee relations, employee development, compensation, internal mobility, staff retention, people acquisition, headcount and position management, and compliance matters, working closely with the People Partner Lead, People Solutions, COEs, HRS, Employment- and Corporate- Legal teams as required. The DailyProvide day-to-day generalist HR support to all business areas in the territory (or specific business areas/teams, as directed by the People Partner Lead)Support the execution of local / regional / global HR programmes and projectsWhere appropriate, attend BU leadership meetings together with People Partner Lead to communicate upcoming HR programmes and initiativesWork together with the People Partner Lead to support business needs, short-term HR goals and the longer-term people strategyWhere required, supports business/functional leaders to deliver changes to structures, job roles and definitions, reporting lines, new ways of working, process improvements, role eliminations etc and the relevant legal/consultation requirements in the territoryDevelop an understanding of the financial drivers of each business area and demonstrates an interest in the external environment and competitorsSupport the Talent Leaders and Finance on annual budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of all ongoing people costsIn collaboration with the WMI Reward team, provide advice and support to managers on employee compensation matters (including benchmarking/pricing), remaining up to date with local market trends and practicesWorking closely with the Talent Leaders, manage the annual merit review (and bonus schemes) ensuring fair, consistent and appropriate rewards in line with budgetsEscalate complex team or people issues to People Partner Lead and/or Talent Leader in a timely fashion as appropriateTake proactive steps to ensure all HR systems, local policies and procedures are updated regularly to take account of new and forthcoming employment legislationEnsure Workday is updated regularly and properly maintained to facilitate accurate reporting and integrity of all people dataDevelop strong working relationships with the People Solutions group and COEs to support the implementation of HR programmes and initiativesProvide support to local territory and functional managers to properly evaluate and develop local employeesEmbody the Ways We Work and emphasize the importance and value of the WarnerMedia CultureEncourage teamwork and collaboration in the local offices, looking for ways to increase affiliation to WarnerMedia whilst shedding legacy business affiliations and siloesFoster a diverse and inclusive workplace and 'one company' mindset as a critical priorityThe EssentialsUndergraduate degree and/or recognised HR qualification8 - 10 years of experience in a generalist HR capacity supporting leaders and managersHas a solid understanding of employment law across Spain and continuously looks for ways to keep up-to-date on the latest regulatory developments/changesExperience supporting information and consultation obligations to Works Councils, Trade Unions and/or other employee representative bodiesAble to assess situations, define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions by leveraging data to help form points of view, proposals, and drive decisionsStrong communication and presentation skills (both written and oral) in both Spanish and EnglishThe Nice-to-HavesExperience of large American multinational companies with complex matrix organisationGood analytical skills and demonstrates an understanding of the specific challenges of each business area and has a desire to learnHands-on and, proactive in identifying areas of improvement in client areasStrong service delivery orientation in combination with an inquisitive mind and a highly collaborative nature and a real desire to help each of the business areas in the territoryA completer/finisher, able to get things done and be proactive and responsiveAble to appropriately prioritise activities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work efficiently to meet tight deadlinesUnderstands the importance of stakeholder management and considers who may be impacted by decisions/changesAble to confidently balance the needs of the company, managers and employees.
