Currently, we are looking for an MSL with Oncology experience and based in Barcelona: Accountabilities: Field-based medical expert in the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the medical organizationAn integral position in communicating accurate, clear and valued information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community and are responsible for providing field observations to internal stakeholders Responsibilities: Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data to advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen’s corporate goals and objectivesEducate and communicate clinical value, outcomes and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy and access enablersRespond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standardsProvide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholdersExecute scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metricsDevelop and implement local OL plans in line with the scientific engagement planSupport speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new dataSupport Amgen sponsored research and activity related with site selection and start-up activities. Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical researchLead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadershipAdvance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes. Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with othersLead and support congress activities as aligned with strategyCompliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. May serve as main point of contact. Maintain clinical acumen and expertise and timely completion of assigned training. Basic Qualifications:Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positionsAdvanced degree (e. g. PhD, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training Experience: Minimum 3 years of solid experience in pharmaceutical /biotech industry or companies is requiredExperience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical DevelopmentExperience in Oncology area (solid tumors), preferred lung and/or colorectal cancer. Experience with clinical study management and conductMedical / scientific research experienceNetwork of customer contactsWillingness to travel; possesses valid driver’s license Knowledge: Scientific expertise in the therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interested in latest discoveries (Oncology solid tumors). Knowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits for the productsHas solid understanding of their country’s local health care system and decision-making, stays on top of changesDemonstrates strong project management and presentation skillsKnowledge of commercialization and business practicesGood knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environmentWillingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge
