The Engineering Manager for Loads and Dynamics leads a global competence team and community of practice in DIS/CREADIS that develops competences & services in the System Dynamics Modeling and Design area (primarily for the Wind and Energy industries). You will have additional full-spectrum leadership responsibility for local engineers and specialists in the area. Role and Responsibilities: Builds, and keeps energized a team that advances & uses modeling, simulation, and design technologies/capabilities to enhance the development of renewable energy systems (e. g. , wind turbines) and subsystems (rotors, control systems, bearings, drivetrains, etc. )Develop and drive vision for activities related to disciplines associated with turbine system modeling, loads, dynamics, and performance viz. , multibody simulations, probabilistic design, to serve the Onshore and Offshore wind industry. Drives the Community of Practice, and is responsible for planning and delivering – with Specialists – (a) the Knowledge Base i. e. , design and best practices, learning & development materials necessary and (b) on a functional strategy for the area to advance the discipline finding & fixing gapsServes as functional area reviewer, adviser (to colleagues, management e. g. , in decision boards) and pathfinder; develops self and other specialists e. g. , in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating technical risk versus business riskIn partnership with other global Engineering managers, is responsible for operations and processes in area to ensure collaboration and effectiveness at project delivery and business developmentLeads special projects of critical business importance or urgency e. g. , internal initiatives, RCAs at customersPrimary focal for area with key account managers, defining techno-commercial strategy, delivering on pre-sales support and initiativesBuild strong customer partnerships e. g. , with Managers and Chief Engineers, to be an effective advocate for CREADIS, and shape/serve customer product development & technology roadmaps.
