Channel Sales Manager (FMCG Sector)
Our Client, a Global Entertainment Company, is looking for a Channel Sales Manager to ensure development and implementation of customized Channel sales plan and strategies for the achievement of corporate goals and further growth. The main purpose of this role is to:- To provide direct leadership to a portfolio of accounts. - Collaborate with the Sales Director and the Sales Leadership Team in developing strategies for company’s one to three-year plan. - Achieve Company Sales (& Commercial) budget & plan objectives for the Channel. - Set goals for the accounts, measure and follow up on execution and act to achieve the targets when needed. - Be the subject matter expert for the Channel. - Set JMA budget and track efficiency of spending and ensure performance based usage of company money. - To lead and guide direct reports and the Sales Support functions efficiently. Specific Responsibilities/ Tasks:- Contribute to setting and implementing the overall sales strategy. - Development & Implementation of customized Channel sales strategies. - Key member of the Sales Leadership Team. - Drive Business in own portfolio but also takes a broader view of the overall commercial priorities, sharing best practice as appropriate and leading cross departmental projects. - Identify and champion continuous improvement in assigned portfolio including new business and growth opportunities and new ways to better meet customer needs. - Leverage full support of the wider business resources as appropriate to meet customer needs. - Direct the individual account business plans to ensure they meet both and customer objectives and reflect the overall sales and brand strategy. - Lead terms negotiations and ensure in line with overall sales strategy and budgets and in line with European parameters. - Develop appropriate sales, promotional, ranging and in store merchandising sales strategies to achieve short and medium-term company goals for account portfolio. - Partner with marketing and customer strategic marketing to ensure full understanding and execution of the Brand strategies and plans. - Present the Channel account plan to the Management Team for approval. Managing & Developing People:- Manage and lead the team to ensure they have the skill sets, resources and support needed to deliver in their role and achieve objectives, and that they operate in a manner consistent with the company values:- Ensure appropriate quarterly performance conversations take place to effectively develop and retain talent to meet current and future business needs. - Provide guidance on team objectives and provide constructive feedback on performance on an on-going basis. - Lead the team by example: ensuring effective communication, support and recognition is in place. - Identify, recruit, retain and develop talent.
