PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Deal Structuring Associate will be acting as a deal support center for SAP Sales Executives within the EMEA North’s Midmarket organization focusing on the support and processes associated with On-Premises & Cloud deals. The Deal Structuring Associate is expected to contribute to revenue growth and profitability by streamlining processing volume of sales opportunities with associated Midmarket Sales Executives, for both existing and net new customers and achieve orders targets. This is a highly visible position which requires extensive interaction with Sales Executives and staff members across Finance, Pricing, Rev Rec, and Legal.
Success in this role will require establishing a close relationship with key members of these groups, building on collaboration and business skills to assess customer & partner requests and find solutions that meet stakeholder needs. We are looking for a results-driven, self-starter to join our team. This individual will be a trusted advisor to the sales team while ensuring all deals meet the regulatory, auditable and financial controls that SAP has. This would be also the perfect first step that would lead to a position as Sales Executive, Deal Structuring Executive or other roles within the EMEA Digital Hub.
The main function of the Deal Structuring Associate is to accelerate internal sales-cycle by providing full-support to the Sales Executives regarding volume business. As such, the Deal Structuring Associate would be expected to provide support to the Sales teams in the process of proposals and quotes for existing and prospective customers to ensure that SAP can win deals, increase market share and grow the revenue stream. You will actively work with Sales Executives on Pricing, Quoting, and Contract Management with a primary focus on our volume business & non-revenue cases. This position will require significant multi-tasking and willingness to assist Midmarket Sales Executives by leveraging multiple stakeholders in the SAP landscape. It would also be the unique & perfect occasion to develop your knowledge & skills by being part of the EMEA MM Deal Structuring team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Each Deal Structuring Associate will be responsible for one or more of the EMEA-N Market Units (UK&I, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Nordics & Luxembourg).
- Responsible for execution of On-Premises & Cloud deal types in coordination with Sales Executives:
- Process customer requests for selling deals and completing the required paperwork along with Sales Executives (CRM Opportunities, Quotations, Order Forms, Resource Requests).
- Comply with operational procedures e. g. for sales, delivery, financial and legal requirements.
- Become an expert in SAP sales internal tools, resources and processes specifically related to BOM, pricing, proposals, contracts and bookings focused on OP & Cloud opportunities.
- Increase deal velocity and improve the engagement model with sales executives, sales leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Validate BOMs with the aid of any necessary resources for example Sales Executives, Presales, Solution Architects, etc.
- Provide deal structure guidance and recommendations to Sales that balances a data driven approach with creative and out of the box thinking.
- Provide active quarter-end and year-end close deal support to the sales community in a dynamically driven environment.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferable: Minimum of 1-year experience in the software business with proven experience in Sales Operations or Deal Support.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in written and spoken English. French / Dutch is a nice to have.
- Master or Bachelor’s degree (e. g. in International Business, Economics, Legal, Finance or other).
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Team player.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized and with strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and solve problems autonomously.
- Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
